We made our way along the Lewis & Clark Trail to Independence MO.  We went on this covered wagon ride & it was so interesting that I forgot to take pictures.  Fran was afraid I would hurt my back but I didn't.  We saw the jail Frank James was in, rode on part of the Sante fe trail, saw Truman's home.

since I didn't take pictures. here's a postcard :)

We then headed to Kansas City,MO.  Fran wanted to see The Arabia     It's a riverboat that sank in the Missouri   river in 1852.   In 1987 a family  discovered it in a corn field and raised it. It was loaded with cargo. They decided to have a museum rather then sell any of it.  It was so  neat to see the things   they saved .   Beautiful Wedgewood china,  all kinds of household goods.  anything you would find in a general store.  Even jars of pickles, peaches, cherries  etc.  They even opened and ate some !

I'm helping in the boiler room !

We than headed for Council Bluff  Iowa
