Having a great time !  It is in the high 90's & high humidity.  But in spite of that we went on a trolley ride through Hannibal. It was very informative.  We saw Mark  Twain's boyhood home. Hannibal itself is very depressed and falling down.

                              They have a large park and a course Samuel Clemon's statue

                         There are a lot of  lumber baron's houses.  they are mostly falling down
                         this one is called rockridge  & they are trying to save it.  We went in for a                
                         tour. Very pretty.

                                 We drove to Independence MO.  We saw 3 hours of brown corn fields .

                                  Tomorrow we'll check out Independence & Kansas City.
