As you can see, we got an early start this morning.

We came upon Meteor Crater. What a splendid find!
This is the largest visible crater in the USA
the largest meteor crater is the Chesapeake Bay

You can't see it. neither could I but there is a building
                                            down there.

Our guide is Navajo, his grandfather was a Navajo
                                           translator in WWII.

I can't believe I walked  out on that rim.
The crater is a mile wide. We only walked 1/2 mile
                                                                         around
Saturday they had 3 inches of rain. the flowers
bloomed this morning. God is Good!

Some people told us to stop in Winslow AZ.

a group called the Eagles used it in a song
                                                   "take it easy"

one of many beautiful mountains on our way
                                               to Albuquerque NM

We're spending the night here. And will sightsee
                                                    tomorrow.

skywalk over grand canyon but it cost $100.00.

We're probably the only people to go to Vegas

I left my battery charger with battery for my camera
at the hotel.
I'll buy a new one tomorrow.

Tomorrow we'll do the west side & go on the

I told you it was  Awesome !!!!  How can anyone
not believe in an Almighty God.

Well we're in Durango, where the wild west
was won.  Or was that Silverton  ? Whatever
Wyatt Earp & Bat Masterson etc. were here
and years later Shawn White (snowboarder)
trained here.  Now I have been here, but I doubt
I'll make history.

we took the narrow gauge train from Durango to
                                            Silverton. Lots a nice scenery.

this is Silverton built in 1860

Another ride on a train.  I'm enjoying it.

Fran & I have been up & down and around & around
I wouldn't travel here in the winter!

Tomorrow we have to get our oil changed. and then on to
                                           Grand Canyon.

                                                       a friend named Valarie Bumby
I loved this original 13 star flag

Went by cog train to the top
beautiful scenery. It wasn't all rocks & 1 tree !
14,110 feet up ! Wow!  I was  lightheaded.
but  what's new about that ?
view from the top. You need to see it in person
I slipped in the snow & thought I was going to go over
Can you see how fat the potato chip bag is ?
(not me, the bag)  It's from the high altitude
people on the train were taking pictures of it. Ha,Ha
when we were almost to the bottom, it was normal
went to Merimont museum. Can you believe a priest
& his mother had it built in 1895

We are in Salida tonight. After dinner we saw these elk
across the hwy.  Elk are everywhere,  I don't think they
                                          know about hunters!
